Amazon Music Launches New Shopping Experience That Allows Users to Buy Merch From Their Favorite Artists Right in the App

With the new features released by Amazon, fans can listen to their favorite artists, discover new tunes, watch live shows and look through a selection of artists’ merch — right from the Amazon music app.

Amazon launches the merch section with products from such musicians as Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow, and King Princess. In addition, the product selection will feature exclusive offerings from Selena Gomez, Weezer, Wale, Florida Georgia Line, and more.

Starting March 2021, Amazon integrates the artist mech shop with the Amazon Music app, making it easier than ever for musicians to engage with the audience, offer new products, and expand their reach, all the while fans get the chance to discover more about their favorite artist and get rich and exclusive fan experience: now, the merch will be available right along with the artists’ tracks, albums, live shows, and music videos. The selection of merch includes offerings from Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow, King Princess, Lady Gaga, and Gucci Mane; all of the products are available with Prime shipping for Prime members.

In addition, Amazon Music will have merchandise collections from a selection of artists exclusive to the platform. The offering will include products from Selena Gomez celebrating the new Spanish-language EP, REVELACIÓN. Rock band Weezer will also be releasing their merch on Amazon Music only. There are a couple of other artists that will release their merchandise exclusively on Amazon Music: Gwen Stefani, Metallica, Queen Naija, Pentatonix, Florida Georgia Line, Queen, and Wale.

According to Sean McMullan, Amazon Music’s Director of Artist Product and Services:

“Fashion is an inseparable part of music and culture, and with the addition of merchandise to the Amazon Music app, we’re making it easier for artists to connect with their fans through our app. It’s long been Amazon Music’s mission to strengthen the connection between artists and fans, and today’s launch furthers that goal by uniting streaming audio, music videos, live streams, podcasts, and now merch under one roof for the first time.”

Selena Gomez REVELACIÓN collection features several products from a pop star, which were inspired by a Mexico City mural commemorating her single “Baila Conmigo”: there are t-shirts, hoodies, and hats available for purchase only on Amazon Music.

As Selena claims:

“I wanted to offer my fans something special for the release of REVELACIÓN. That’s why I worked to develop a beautiful, new collection of exclusive merch for Amazon Music. I hope you enjoy what I’ve put together.”
