This is a luxurious sounding preamp. Acoustic Preamp AD-10 seems to a high quality pedal with great sound. This acoustic pre has more bells & whistles than I expected, but I’m totally impressed with it. It’s rugged and very intuitive. I don’t typically use a looper, but the playback quality has me intrigued. Like some other reviews, the reverb (ambience) isn’t a style I like, but inserting a HallOfFame2 into the loop fixed that. I bought it to get a very FRFR boost to push a Line 6 Power cap Plus and it does that very well!

I wasn’t very pleased with my prior acoustic preamp pedal. Too much menu diving and only mediocre sound. Straight out of the box Sunday morning, I plugged into the Boss AD-10, quickly dialed in a beautiful tone and was literally performing live within minutes. I only had to bend down a couple times to make minor adjustments. The WYSIWYG mode is perfect. Tone control on-the-fly! I’m looking forward to sitting down with this beauty and banking some presets too. The AD-10 pedal is pro-grade for sure and the quality is apparent immediately.

The tone is where its at with this pedal and the effects are custom to acoustic instruments which sounds nuttier than just hooking up a normal chorus pedal.

The dual input sold me I can run two guitars, or a guitar ukulele and get good sound from both. Boss has made a great unit here. I have tried several other units and did not work for me AD8 did not work and it is better than the TC play acoustic for my needs. Nice job boss!
