The fans are excited about a spec sheet done in a sleek black-on-black design.

And rightfully so — there is a lot to be stoked about. Just look at the color-matched headstock!

Topping other flagship Player offerings, the guitar features several functional upgrades like ebony fretboard and chrome-covered bridge humbucker. The latter, in turn, replaces the open-coil original design.

Essentially, what you get here is a basic 25.5”-scale Player Strat: it has a bolt-on maple neck, a modern C-profile, and a dual-action truss rod. Completing the package, there are 9.5” radius and 22 medium jumbo frets.

The Strat includes a two-point fulcrum tremolo bridge; a pair of tone controls and master volume parameter are also welcomed.

What is different is the shift from a conventional trio of knobs to industrial-looking chrome ones.

Other features worth mentioning include two Player-series single coils that are present in the neck and middle positions, a synthetic bone nut, and a five-way blade pickup selector switch.

You can purchase The Guitar Center exclusive Fender Player HSS Stratocaster for $1,049.
