Guitar riff of generation

The generation can be identified by the symbols of the era. Any kind of art creates its own symbols. Music is no exception to this rule. A respected American music magazine conducted a poll to vote for the most popular guitar riff. The survey involved 50 compositions from performers from the hall of glory of rock and roll. The winner was the guitar riff from “Whole Lotta Love” performed by Led Zeppelin.

Why was Led Zeppelin able to beat Nirvana or AC / DC? In our opinion, the reason lies in two factors. First, the guitar riff from “Whole Lotta Love” is very simple. Therefore, young and professional musicians perform it all over the world. Secondly, the guitar riff from “Whole Lotta Love” changed rock music. Prior to this song, music rarely used a single monotonous riff throughout the melody. In fact, the whole song “Whole Lotta Love” is built around one guitar riff. After the release of “Whole Lotta Love” in the late sixties, many rock bands started looking for a similar sound in order to give their music a fresh sound.
